RWA & Digital Finance: Ugo Peters on the Future of Nigerian Real Estate Investment

As the Founder of HXafrica and a firm believer in the power of innovation to solve real-world problems, it was a privilege to be part of the discussion. The energy and insights shared on Saturday, October 4th, were a clear indication that the next wave of finance is here.

I want to share some highlights and key takeaways from a recent engagement that was absolutely critical for bridging the worlds of traditional investment and digital finance: the Real World Assets & Digital Finance event, hosted by OnChain, Mariblock, Busha, and Breet, in collaboration with SiBAN.

Real World Assets: The Next Frontier

The central theme of our discussion was clear: Unveiling how real-world assets are reshaping digital finance and exploring what this means for investors, policymakers, founders, innovators, blockchain users, and everyday users.

This is not just academic talk; it’s the core of what we do at HXafrica. My own journey as a

trailblazer in real estate innovation has shown me that the key to empowering communities is making high-value assets, like property, accessible. The digital finance revolution allows us to do just that, using blockchain technology to tokenize assets and lower the barrier to entry.

The conversation made it clear that transforming industries and empowering communities requires a relentless drive to make a difference—a blend of grit and ingenuity that defines the successful entrepreneur.

A Foundation of Expertise and Mentorship

My perspective on the panel was informed not just by my role at HXafrica, but by my deep commitment to business education and development. For those of you I mentor, you know I stress the importance of solidifying your structure before seeking funding. This is the foundation of my work:

  • SMEDAN Certified BDSP: I am a Nigerian Federal Government SMEDAN Certified Business Development Service Provider, specializing in SME and Business Launching, Structuring, Brand Development, and Executive Coaching.
  • Proven Track Record: I’ve successfully launched several thriving businesses and consulted for over 12 companies.
  • Commitment to Mentorship: I remain dedicated to fostering the next generation of leaders, serving as a mentor at the Fate Foundation School of Entrepreneurship and Orange Country Nigeria, and as a Faculty Member of Tekedia Institute.

Our discussion at the event emphasized that to successfully integrate Real World Assets into Digital Finance, we need not only the technology but also the structured business models and leadership to back it up.

The event, which was part of the OnChain x Mariblock x Busha x Breet collaboration with SiBAN, was a crucial platform for moving these conversations forward. The insights gained are invaluable as we continue to build the infrastructure for the next generation of wealth creation.
